I’m sure we all have a wishlist filled with all the goodies we plan or hope to own one day. I thought it would be fun to share what makeup items are on my never ending wishlist. If your a makeup fanatic like me you can probably imagine how difficult it is for me to choose just a few; but I’ve done it and have chose five makeup products I am dying to get my hands on.
First up has to be the Benefit Cheek Parade Palette which is currently exclusive to House of Fraser. This palette has a mixture of beautiful blushers and bronzers, that look like they would suit all skin tones. The five shades include-
-Galifornia – A golden peach blusher.
-Hoola – A matte bronzing powder.
-Hoola Lite – A lighter edition of Hoola.
-Rockateur – A rose gold blusher.
-Dandelion – A perfect pretty pink blusher.
I think the one I am mostly wanting to try is the Hoola Lite, because it looks like it will be the perfect matte bronzer for my fair skin. This is also a new shade they have just brought out and is exclusive to the palette. I love how this palette is really good value for money, as you get five full sized products worth around £25 each in one palette for just £49.50. I love palettes and how everything is in one, which then makes it easier for travelling and storing. Im not overly keen on the packaging of this palette, but I think thats probably because I prefer a more simple and sleek look. I don’t have very many blushers and bronzers, at a guess I think I only have around 4 blushers and 2 bronzers; for a makeup hoarder this is embarrassing. My makeup collection is mainly eyeshadows and makeup brushes, so this palette would be a much needed edition to the family…don’t you think?
Something else on my wishlist is the Kat Von D Metal Crush eyeshadows. I saw these on my trip to London in the Debenhams store; they are beautiful. I swatched a few of the colours and by far my favourite is the shade ‘Raw Power’, which is a red shade with some hints of orange and burgundy. When swatched I could feel how smooth the eyeshadow was, and it applied perfectly on my hand without any chalky textures or fallout. From what I saw they have ten of these eyeshadows ranging from a gold to an electric green. I was seriously tempted to buy one when I was in the store, but I had to be strict with myself because I was on the look out for foundation, and told myself I didn’t need more eyeshadows. Slightly regretting it now, but I’m going to wait until I find some discount codes to use to make it that little bit cheaper.
Now everyone loves a bit of glitter, including me. So added on my wishlist is the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows; wow worlds longest product description. These are similar to liquid lipsticks, but these are for the eyes. They’re claimed to have the same long lasting effect like liquid lipsticks, and also a shimmering finish that never dulls. When in Selfridges I saw these and just had to try them out, because I had heard such great things about them. They had completely sold out but still had the testers available to try. The texture of these is really smooth and the colour payoff is just amazing! I tested a few of the colours including Rose Gold Retro which was my favourite by far, and I just know I could create some beautiful looks with it. They retail at £23 so quite expensive, well to me anyway. But then from just the swatches I did I feel they would be worth it, because of how amazing they were. I did some research and these I would say have some of the best reviews from what I have seen, but then I also came across some cheaper alternatives I may try first. The NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tints are one of the ones I’ve heard of and am definitely going to be placing an order soon for one or two of them; then I will know if its something I would use enough to justify getting the more expensive Stila ones. The NYX ones don’t look as shimmery from what I can see in pictures, but they do have some good reviews so I think their worth a try. The consistency is again like a liquid lipstick, so I imagine you won’t need a lot to get that colour payoff. Well fingers crossed I get along with the NYX ones with them being just £6 instead of £23 for Stila, as I really need to save some pennies.
Eyeshadow palettes are something I seem to have an awful lot of! Brands seem to come out with new ones here there and everywhere, so I mean how can a girl resist? There are I would say at least ten eyeshadow palettes I really want to own, but if I was to talk about all of them we would be here for days. One of the eyeshadow palettes I have on my wishlist is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance, which is filled with some beautiful nudes, golds, and personal favourites burgundy shades. It has a mixture of matte and metallic shadows, and they all just look beautiful. The thing I love most about the look of this palette is the fact theres a good range of different shades, as sometimes I find I always like the same palettes with the same old nude browns. I’ve not actually tried eyeshadows from the brand Anastasia Beverly Hills before, but am constantly seeing good reviews about them and especially about this palette.
So there we go, there is five of the makeup products on my wishlist currently. I think the one I want the most is the Benefit Cheek Parade Palette, just because of what a good deal it is getting five full size products for the price of two. Hope you have enjoyed the read, thankyou for stopping by, and as always….
