I’ve found myself recently using the same makeup products, and I just seem to get drawn towards certain ones I use day after day. This obviously means I love these products, they work, and that’s why I want to use them all the time. But then I look at the rest of my makeup and think what a waste, it’s just sat there not getting used. So when this happens I try to mix it up, and this means looking through my whole makeup collection and picking out different products to try. Well that is exactly what I did tonight, and I thought why not share with you guys the makeup I’ve picked out. I had to hang on to some of my staples though, like the Charlotte Tilbury brow lift, Benefit roller lash mascara, and my Laura Mercier translucent powder.
Enough blabbing lets get on to the good stuff! The products I’ve picked out to use in my daily makeup routine for the next few weeks are-
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit, Ghost
This palette is serious goals! I love to just look at it, isn’t it just beautiful. This is still quite new out and I’m shocked I haven’t gone to use it that much. So I’m really excited to be using it, and seeing how I get on. When I used it the first time I got it, I remember loving the blushers and loved how they glided on the skin beautifully. It features two of the ambient light powders, which I’ve used before and really like the way they look on the skin. I used to only wear the powder all over with no other makeup on those days where you just can’t be bothered. This palette is definitely going to be staying on my vanity for easy reach.
NARS The Skin Deep Eyeshadow Palette
This is the newest eyeshadow palette I own, and is why I’m surprised I’ve not actually used it like I thought I would. But again this is why I want to change up my makeup, and start using the products I don’t normally. It has twelve beautiful shades, and I personally think they are very wearable and will suit most people. There a mix of mattes, shimmers and metallics, and as you can see from the pictures they are more warm toned shades. I’ve created a few looks with this palette so far, and found the shadows very pigmented and easy to blend. Like probably all of the eyeshadow palettes I own they perform best with a base, and the pay off is even better. This is a great addition to my makeup collection, and I’m looking forward to using it more.
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre
I have heard so many good things about this moisturiser, and seen it appear on reviews on youtube time and time again. This is what made me buy it about two months ago. Regrettably I haven’t used it, but I think that’s because I had recently got my new all time favourite the Charlotte Tilbury magic cream back, and was leaning towards using that instead. So I’m really excited to try this, and I’m really hoping it lives up to my expectations. I will be using it in the morning before putting on my makeup, like a primer. And then using it at night to replace my usual moisturiser mentioned above.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise
I love the eyes to mesmerise cream eyeshadows, and own a few of the shades. The shade I’ve chosen to try using more often is Marie Antoinette, which is a beautiful oyster gold colour. I chose this one because I think its a lovely colour which will work well as a base for the eyeshadows in the NARS palette mentioned above. But then it will look even nicer being placed on top to add that extra bit of sparkle and pop! If you’ve tried these before you will know how smooth they apply, and that they literally stay all day. Im excited to get using this more often, and think it will be perfect for the festive season.
